This is a great bike but the title is a little misleading since most guys out there have not heard of a Kuwi "Survivor" model.

I'm sure most guys are expecting a survivor shape Laserlite
It has the same FF set as a Laserlite but with cheaper parts. Basically a budget version complete bike of the Laserlite.
Designed by Kuwi to get more bikes out the door.
One thing that surprises me is the colours. I have never seen an old magazine ad advertising colour options.

Similar but different, these look to be one piece hub body. The elf hub is a three piece like body like a Bullseye for example.

Also the centre body is the same on the front and rear with the elf hubs.

These are the same as on YYZ , they are not TRX. TRX have an oval profile to the legs but the front and back edges have about a 1/8 flat section, and the most obvious and destictive feature is the rifeling ( spiral lines for reinforcement ) in then inside the lower end of the steer tube.

Awesome, thanks for the age. Was this stock on any models or a "replacement part" sold at shops. I have rarely seen these come up or mounted on a build.

I'm not a Kuwi expert but on both of mine the brake bridge is not welded to the top of the seat stays, but rather between them. Where the tubing meets at the rear drops on mine are open ends, not closed like on this one. I have an 83, and stamped 84 and both have oval top and down tubes. Are you sure this is a laserlite? Just wondering.

This is identical to the Norco Starfire except for the brake bridge. The Starfire came with ARX forks instead of the TRX.
