1984 GHP Long

This is my old race bike from bitd.My dad bought it after my jmc black shadow was stolen.Chrome ghp long frame, chrome cycle pro aero blade forks like jmc but are made by tange.Tange headset, square corner dk stem,gt pro bars, ame grips, cook bros plate.Flite checker board pads, suntour seat clamp, blue hammer head uni seat, shimano brakes, super maxy cranks and araya 20 1 3/8 7x rims laced to gt hubs with d/b spokes and blue alloy nipples.I just finished putting it bake together after 20 years in the basement.Looks exactly the way i had it in 84, except the crupi pedals i just put on to make it ridable. Boy does it bring back memories

Re: 1984 GHP Long

i usually don't see a bike that i would buy as a complete because i like them built to my exact taste and my favorite part of this hobby is piecing them together but this bike is so perfect in my eyes it is the only bike on this site i want bad enough to buy as a complete

Re: 1984 GHP Long

Thanks for the compliments bro.I've had this bike since new in 84 after my jmc black shadow was stolen. It looks exactly the same as when my dad bought it minus the pedals and cranks. It use to have sugino ct cranks and blue bear trap style pedals.Eventully I may try to find the sugino cranks but for now these ones look fine. Thanks again for the props

Re: 1984 GHP Long

I love the bike man,as I too have had my GHP long since 85'.I am now in the process of restoring it but I have lost a lot of parts since then.I still have the frame, fork, handlebars, and seat post though.I am using your pics for inspiration.
