Yeah plastic seats look better on builds... but try riding one all day... LOL!

The frame and bars were powder coated sort-of mango by a previous owner, then badly rattle-canned with the black and grey portions and the wrong decals for that year applied... but I didn't buy it to make a carpet queen, this bike is built to be ridden!

I'll be bringing this one along for one of the Portland rides when we start having more predictable weather...

Thanks for the compliments guys!  I just got it back from Chip at C4 a couple of weeks ago.  The bars in this picture are the NOS bars the powder was matched to.  Since this frame is an 86 I thought it should be painted as such.  Also the yellow powder was too light and really wasn't Hazard Yellow.

http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa23 … G_7234.jpg

Did those bars used to be yellow or is that a differnt pair? I'm looking for some.

Collected parts for mine.  Now, Chip has the parts for chrome and powder.  Check out the "Goodies" that I have to use:

Yep, they are authentic.  Not much of a story.  I just want to do somthing different with my bike, that's all.  Wish there was more.

Re: RL20II's, show us what you got

Chip charges $200 for powder unless the color has to be made custom.  The chrome on a frame/fork can run around $300.
