1997 Mongoose Solution Team
I got an opportunity to race a co-sponser deal for Mongoose. It was called "Mongoose University" where I got 3rd place, (by way of points) and a $3000 gift to help pay for school. I got one of the first all alum. Solutions to come out. The first ones had problems and they alowed me to trade it in on a new one.

Re: 1997 Mongoose Solution Team
I had one of these, and I almost stopped riding altogether because I hated the way it rode so much. This bike seriously made me not want to ride at all. I got mine because I snapped my Mongoose Carbon (which I also hated) and wouldn't accept another one even under warranty, so they gave me a Solution. Even though I didn't like riding it (did I mention I hated the way it rode?), it was a nice bike to look at, and was well made by Taiwanese standards.

Things I need: Peregrine pedals 9/16”, early threaded S&M forks (chrome Cook Bros style).

Wow... Seriously??? That really suprises me. I like the bike a lot. I really do.. Crazy.... I never experenced anything like that with any bike I have ever had. Well... I take that back. I did not like my Rocket crusier because it was too long and I had a hard time pulling it up to manual or jump. Thats when I got the GT.

My friend had one when they came out it was a nice bike so I can't say that I hate them but don't think they were worth the 7 or 8 hundred bucks.

My friend also rode one of these, he was sponsored by mongoose as well. he also was sponsered by MCS before Mongoose. I liked his MCS better but this mongoose was still a great bike in my opinion.
