1984 Akisu 24

Frame downtube and forks are Aero (teardrop) tubing. TT is oval.

Forks are stamped Akisu on the outside of both dropouts. Right rear dropout has  the serial number stamped on the outside. Left rear dropout has the model or production number stamped on the outside and inside.
Joytech sealed hubs. SR neck. Odyssey Black Widow cranks (165mm).While I was wiping it down after I got it, I noticed what I'll call "sticker or decal burn" on the downtube and head tube. These were places on the frame  that had stickers on them and were in the sun long enough to actually "burn" the sticker images into the chrome,, so even after the stickers were removed a faint image can be seen. I tried polish and cleaners but the burns will not come out. The downtube stickers were JMC Shadow and it had a JMC head badge sticker removed from it.  Even though it's not a looptaiI, I will be making a JMC tribute bike out of it.

Re: 1984 Akisu 24

Please dont make a jmc tribute. Keep the rarity of the brand alive. How many akisu framesets are there like this? Hopefully you can find original decals that came with it. Bcuz if you show it, youll be explaining how its NOT a jmc to anyone that you talk to about it. But thats just a purist,  "just sayin"

Newbie...
No front brakes, except for freestyle.
Adjust your seat and bars, so it looks like you actually ride.
Use cruiser bars on cruisers.
No laybacks on cruisers either, jeez.
