Its nice and I have all the parts to do it FU-style, including a 39T nuke ring.....lol
The black mirra bars have me thinking about doing it up.
It is like 85% original but the rims are flaking harder than my ex....

Im on the fence...tear it apart or keep it original. Its not a "grail" Haro bike but its in pretty nice shape, including the original tires.

Newest Haro project. ‘97 Group 1 RSi. Gonna take my time with it! Second one I’ve owned in this colorway, sadly the paint on this one is pretty rough and missing decals, so it’ll likely end up getting repainted at some point or another.

By the way, does anyone know if this just happened to be one of those years they went with a 1” threadless setup instead of the 1” threaded or 1-1/8” threadless?

I seem to recall having my previous 97 RSi built with a threaded 1” headset, but I see two of the same year on here besides mine that have threadless set ups, but I look at the head tube and feel like there’s no way it could fit a 1 1/8” headset 🤔

Re: Mid-School HARO THREAD - for those of us that love the midschool haro

Picked up a new bike last Friday.  Finally found an early Haro Backtrail 24.  I passed on buying a few other 24'' bikes because I wanted the earlier style decals.  I was saving a few era correct parts for when I got one of these.  I set it up with Haro 3pc Fusion crank 180cm, Haro 44t Mega Nuke, uncut Haro Jackhammer bars, nos Haro aluminum bar ends, nos S&M Redneck LT stem, Haro raw seat post, and Haro landing pad seat.  But had to put some new gold Haro lineage pedals on here for a tribute to Mirra.

I added the bike to the museum smile

Thanks man. I got itchy and well, you know how that goes.
Looks like I will need to get a 13T driver for the wheels. The 04 was not made for a 25T sprocket, unfortunately.
At least not if you want brakes. So I hit a snag or I'd assemble it tonite. lol

It's been quite awhile since I've seen one posted like this I don't think there's to many zippo mag" out there anymore. I'm almost finished with my Zippo. It was purchased as a frame from a member here and stripped 6 coats of paint before having it powdercoated. The bike is actually a 99 (Satin Orange) but I went with a 98 color scheme/decals.

All the parts came from a 1999 RI (Hi tensile steel bike), except the sprocket/brake and the fork/stem which were 1 inch threaded on the RI (temporarily using a Trek fork).

the Zippo looks cool as hell. Seeing it, just brings me back to that 95-00 HAro period with vibrant colors and designs.

Looking forward to the rumored Blammos in the Lineage pipeline.....wink
