I placed an order for a custom 125R.  Estimate is 20-30 weeks.  Looking forward to March!

Did they say why it would take so long? 20-30 weeks for 1 frame seems like a long time to me.
I've looked at there website before and considered them. Their frames look really nice especially in those translucent colors. But I don't have the patience to wait 20-30 weeks for one.

Everything and everyone is backed up. I pre ordered a frame thru another builder in January and yet to see anything

Not everyone. Craig Turner "seems" to be unaffected.

I ordered my 50th in July 2021 and got it in October. And he made at least 100 of each size.

Regarding the new frames, per Craig's website:
Cut and cope tubing and then to Pre-polish takes approximately 2 weeks
welding approx 2 weeks
off to chrome which takes approx 2-4 weeks

That's approx 6-8 weeks which seems reasonable.

Re: Standard Bykes post, lets get one started!! Post your bad a*s SBC's

Standard makes alot more bikes then Craig Turner, they also have production frames, forks, and bars as well as a ton of customs. Its not that it takes 20 weeks to make your stuff, its that there are that many people ahead of you having stuff made. Before everything was backed up everywhere like it is Standard made me a custom frame, fork, bars in 5 weeks.

Thanks for that answer regarding Standard. That makes sense.
As for why everything and everyone else being so backed up might be a similar situation.
I never took into consideration the volume.
I still think the July to October delivery of at least 300 frames and forks that the one man show that Craig is is pretty impressive. Plus I think he produces frames for Hellion bikes.

Yup, that's the answer to the question.  They said that they're so busy right now that this is how custom orders are shaking out.

The gusset on that custom 22 looks so good that I kind of wish I had asked for one on my front end ha ha.  Well done.

Re: Standard Bykes post, lets get one started!! Post your bad a*s SBC's

My first 125r took from July to December.  The second one took from July to August.  The 3rd I just ordered is getting chromed and that adds many weeks.

Another company I'm not naming names was taking 2 years and made the frame way off from what I asked.  At least Standard does every custom thing you ask them to.

I alwys wanted a pair, did pick up an exact clone from another company, probably the closest I'll get here in the UK. I'm supprised you found both the bars, and stem in Australia, they seem pretty rare, even in the US ?

They are rare enough, that's for sure. I was lucky enough to get them both out of the US.
