1988 Revcore Cruiser Long 24

Here is a good example of a old/mid school race bike or atleast my version.. Revcore are built so well and have the best looking geometry for a cruiser in my book... they just look fast.

Revcore bikes are a rare breed. Dont see a whole lot of them around anymore or before for that matter.. I learned a valuable lesson on this build and that is to not re finish unless there is no hope... Although the RE -chrome job on the frame is secound to none and looks factory.. it was pretty damn good before with perfect drops.. Oh well lesson learned.. It still managed to get first place in it's class at the 40 years of bmx show at bellflower in 2010!  so it wasnt a total loss.. haha

Re: 1988 Revcore Cruiser Long 24

My brudda...

I remember seeing this bike win the 24" class at the 40-yr BMX Cyclebration.  I remember looking at that Hammerhead seat and saying...okay, well maybe he lost his Elina LB, or bent the seatpost or something? That was the day I met hedzrtails (I don't use names in posts).  Since then, I've seen him drag this baby from show to show; BBQ to BBQ; and every time I see it, it grows on me that much more!  Whatever went through his mind when building this is exactly why he keeps winning trophies.  He's not afraid to think outside the proverbial BMX box. He takes risks that end up not being risks at all.  Love this thing...a true racer in every aspect.  Well done bro...and don't worry about the re-chrome...everyone knows we drop about $4-5 K before we really get to know this hobby big_smile
