I can’t wait to see it done and parked in front of the chair...as many chrome and polished parts with that green would look killer. There’s a guy with a trans green Standard 24” that’s all chrome and polish and that bike will give ya wood
Please.....no Tuff Wheels on full on race bikes...original graphite’s only and pre 81 and never on a cruiser for God’s sake
Let me guess you were factory sponsored in
the 80’s...
Please no colored tires on race bikes...
So how many years were you a Pro....
You knew a guy that had a Mongoose that weighed 12 pounds
What year did you mix it up with Stu?
Thinking about going 22”....do it...

Re: 22's Go Here
It’s probably already been discussed but I just swapped my 9t cassette driver On my 22” over to a 10t and so far, the bike is Way more user friendly and pedals along much easier and feels more like a traditional 20” Bmx.
My Fit BF22 came stock with 25/9t gearing which is what most 20” bikes come with which makes sense on a 20” but when you run it on a 22” wheel, makes the bike a pain in the ass (or feet) to get moving. Sure, you get more top speed with the 25/9t but it wasn’t very practical at all for the indoor skate and bike parks that I ride. Since I swapped to the 10t driver, it’s made a very nice difference.
I decided to swap the driver because the last time I took this bike to Rays indoor bike park, I ended up with a blister on my foot and sore legs from having to pedal up some of the ramps so I started to crunch some numbers and do some math.
I started out by calculating what they call “gear inches” which is kind of a ballpark way to loosely figure out what gear ratio your bike is running. To figure out your ratio in gear inches, you divide the number of teeth of your front sprocket by the number of teeth on your driver or freewheel, and then multiply that number by your bikes wheel size.
Example:25 / 9 x 20 = 55.55gear inches.
Which is what most modern 20” Bmx run.
Old school Bmx run: 44 / 16 x 20 = 55
My Fit 22 stock: 25 / 9 x 22 = 61.11
My Fit 22w/10t: 25/ 10 x 22 = 55
So when I did the math, I was able to see what a dramatic difference there was between a standard 20” and the hearing on the 22” which also explained why it was so much more difficult to get moving.
You wouldn’t think that one tooth would make that big of a difference, but it did and I must say that the bike is Far more enjoyable to ride now than it ever was before. If your 22” came with 25/9, I would consider switching to a 10t driver.
"It's such a fine line between stupid and clever."

Re: 22's Go Here
Yeah, the math works out. 9T on a 20", 10T on a 22" and 11T on a 24" will about keep the gearing the same. Problem is finding 10 and 11T drivers on reasonably priced hubs.
It seems manufacturers have issues getting the larger drivers as well, or just cheap out and put te same hub on all their bikes. I suspect the 22s are a small niche so they just get all the 20" parts.

Gabe over at Cheap Goods has the 10t driver on their eBay store. Glad to hear they’re back in stock
