I am just starting on this.  It's a 92.  Paint was removed at some point and it's in white primer.  You can see a hint of the bright orange in the bottom bracket area.  I assume if was the splatter paint Comp or Detour.  I got this frame for free form a fellow member here.  It's been sitting in my closet for years now.  It is on the way to powder coat as we speak smile

Got big plans for this build.  I will probably dedicate a thread to the project.

How long is the wait for paint?

did you send it to Chip?

This one did not go to Chip.  Chip turns things around real quick!  I had a local guy do this one and it took a couple months.

Yes, this is a retro sleeper... once more people see the bike in person and realize visually it look exactly like the 20” vintage but it’s much bigger for real adults to ride comfortably... the bike will blow up

The other one will be the 24” haro dmc....

The 26” & 29”, the geometry is so different that i don’t think it really reflect the look of the original

Re: Talk Dyno to me!

Does anyone know if 93 was the first year for the 2nd gen pretzel bars on the slammer?

The 93 catalog shows the 2nd gen pretzel bars but most of the 93 slammers I see have the 1st gen style pretzels.

Seems like 94s are probably when they came on completes, might've been a late in the year running change between model years though?

Those fingerprint decal ones seem to be extra extra sought after.

So they come with that clamp piece on the stem, not the retro style coin one?

Would love to see them drop a 22"

Re: Talk Dyno to me!

It’s a 90 Made in USA  frame with no serial number, no 990 mounts or no bash guard on the frame????  Has no signs of ever having ether welded on the frame?? It’s a wierd one.  I already have a 90 slammer so I’m slapping some pro Compe decals on it.   cool

Very weird. Where'd it come out of? Any backstory or history with it?

I picked it up on OfferUp local buy, guy said his dad bought it for him in September  1990 for his 14th birthday and just rode the heck out of it.   He had taken It apart last year to “restore “ it (sprayed painted. Lol) and gave up.   He gave me most of the parts for it.

Try the Name It forum, there's a lot more help there, this forum is more general fun talk.
