Nothing more I dislike than removable brake hardware! All due to kids not wanting to run brakes.I have seen removable hardware come undone plenty of times.....just useless!!!!

it was do to pro's wanting to challenge them self's. to ride brake less. then monkey/ kid see kid try's to copy them. those the trend was born.

I completely understand not wanting to run brakes. But why complicate things by designing frames with removable brake hardware!

I agree, frames should be made with or without mounts. Put a caliper on it.

BMX pet peeve:  companies don't sell 24's and went from 20 to 26!  24's were real bmx bitd and have been booted out for some reason.  And don't tell me 24's are too small but 26's are just right!

The companies sold frames with and without brake mounts. They ended up with frames that did not sell,so the happy medium for them is removable brake mounts.
