You cannot tell anything off an S&M serial number that old. If you emailed them with the number you still would not get much info. If it is a 1" it will be 95 or earlier. 96-99 would be 11/8" not sure on the 990 forks. Were they pitchforks or another brand?

Re: S&M hoarders unite

I’ve had this 2018 speedwagon for a little over a year now and absolutely love this bike. My 20” race bike. But I use it for everything.  Retro mod Patterson theme to it. I know some have seen it before. If not, I Never posted it on this thread so here it is.

Re: S&M hoarders unite

I think the Cardona and Empire SIIHBAP frames had the crown gusset.  The seat stay bridge might suggest SIIHBAP, but it could be some sort of custom/prototype S&M did.  Lots of those floating around So-Cal.  Awesome bike!

Edit:  It's probaby a Fit Hawk V2.

Re: S&M hoarders unite

Empire did have a few frames made by S&M a few years ago.
The obvious way to find out would be, you know - e-mail empire.

Would love to find my old Dirt Bike.  It was stolen in Pompano Beach, Florida in about 1996.  It's a '92 with the block graphics on a Green frame.  Pitchforks, Slam bars, King Headset, GT (DK-style) stem and GT/Profile cranks.  Superlace hubs.  Would really love to put this back in my collection.
