Re: lets see those rc cars
Revo, os engine fried the engine a few years ago running it way too lean in the winter, it was fun as hell! Installed a new piston and cylinder and never even broke it in... Wife and son are both working doubles on Thanksgiving because others won't step up
So if the batteries charge I'm breaking it in and spending my day with a bottle and ripping up my lawn
If I had a nickel for every time I've been cursed by a puppet I would have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

Good luck with the break in. I love the smell and sound of the nitro engines!

Gotta love the smell and sound of nitro indeed. I have a 1st gen Nitro 4-Tec Pro (kit form not RTR with carbon upper deck) with a O.S. 15 I’m gonna shoe horn in there) over the winter hopefully. It’s never been ran or built up so I’m thinking maybe 75mph or more when said and done. I’ll keep you RC guys posted.

Re: lets see those rc cars
Finally gonna get to run my full custom 1st gen T-Maxx this holiday weekend with my time off. Just put a new mill (O.S. CV-S 18) in there and broke it in a few weeks ago. Breaking in a new engine can be so boring at times.

Thank you i will have to post more pictures! I have jumping RC truck since the First Gen Emaxx so i have acquired a lot of ramp time. Over the years countless parts broken, but its a small price to pay for the fun. Been jumping the Traxxas Maxx alot lately and it is quite durable to be honest. And i agree its hard to beat the modern brushless setups, but smell of and noise of nitro will always be great!

Wonder if it actually works? Seems like a waste of money for something that might not be very reliable. Why not just install a much bigger motor instead.

Re: lets see those rc cars
Picked 3 of these up with family 12 or so years ago. The wife and I had to live with her folks for about 6 months while we were house hunting. The father in law, brother in law and myself all bought one. We would go out every night and race in the school parking lot down the street. Great memories. Just recently got these 2 up and running with the 3rd as a parts car. The kids absolutely love them. Chad

Re: lets see those rc cars
So I was just bullshitting with one of my neighbors and he got to telling me he had a bunch of old RC parts he was going to get rid of. He offered me if I wanted them and I said sure I'll have a look. He brings me a bag of shit and surprisingly he had a Revo 3.3 transmission in there. I picked it up and it felt heavier than usual so I opened it up to see if it had the Robinson Racing hardened steel gears like mine and it did, so my thoughts were to lock second gear so I can get reverse back. Little did I know that he already did!!
Now it’s just a matter of me swapping around some gears and maybe freshen up some bearings in the trans/transfer case and I’ll get rid of my mechanical brake and get reverse going!!
