Re: WHAT IS YOUR GRAIL?!

I have 5 grail bikes I've always wanted.  Nothing super special, but I managed to find three of them three days in a row last week.  S&M Warpig (still in the mail) FBM Angel Of Death, and a Hutch Trick Star.  Just waiting for the right 86 Haro Master and a WAL Riot to pop up.

Re: WHAT IS YOUR GRAIL?!

I remember working all summer long as a kid and buying my grail for £35, after seeing it advertised in the Loot. (You’ll hopefully understand if you’re in the UK, otherwise for others it was a free ad papar that peeps used to buy).

Now back to the point, it was was a full chrome frame and forks with a lovely full size black MX seat and black 80’s Tuffs to match! I had literally found my grail at a young age, then added a genuine GT layback and trick stuff. Unfortunately at a kids club shortly afterwards the security chain was removed by force and the bike stolen, along with my passion BMX interest until 2020! My kid has sort of got me back into it.

If I could find that bike or a similar frame again then I’d be a happy boy. I don’t know the make as there were no sticker/decals, but frame was strange as the down tube from memory flattened under the BB.....my search for the grail continues!

Re: WHAT IS YOUR GRAIL?!

Got mine 5 years ago, a NOS 83 Skyway TA frame & fork. I have no plans on building this, I would like to find all NOS parts to display it all as an un-assembled complete like the one I had BITD. I know that will take some time but I'm off to a great start. A few years ago I bought an empty vintage TA F&F box, some guys laughed because I paid 100 bucks for an empty box but how cool is this going to look with that displayed on the side of it cool

Re: WHAT IS YOUR GRAIL?!

Quamen cranks. Never thought I’d see a pair but then 2 sets fell in my lap. One is NOS with a titanium spindle. Now I have to get some 22mm euro bb for my frames.(Image deleted)

I’m not buying anymore frames. Unless one comes up for sale.

Due to my infatuation with all things Bill Bastian and Race Inc, I hope one day to have one of his early works, a 1975 AAA Rascal similar to this;

Ha, I wish.

To the best of my knowledge it still resides in his garage and unless I will a PowerBall or Mega Millions jackpot I doubt I could ever make an offer sufficient to get him to part with it.
