Re: Hutch Trick Star thread

Ok.  So I’ve got a Japanese Made Baseball Stamped Trick Star. I feel like the serial number is super low. Am I reading it correctly? 6B0003
Not too sure on how to read these?
Thanks in advance.

Read the Japanese ones much like you would a Koizumi made Diamond Back - Feb 1986.
Not super-low considering that mid 1984 marks the early ones, just a low number for February of 1986.

I'd guess an early attempt at restoration.

Picture?

It’s weird.. there’s a bunch of red in certain places on Frame and Fork. Inside of head tube looks Ano Red. ??

Hutch was known to powder coat chrome frames that had flaws or otherwise didn't make the cut for the quality Hutch was known for.  I'd bet that frame was sold new with candy red paint over the chrome.

Another friend said the exact same thing..  I believe that’s what it was. Then the T2 decals installed after.

Re: Hutch Trick Star thread

Here’s a few pics from back in the day.
I bought this 84 around the time I sold off my 84 Haro Master. Pieced this thing together with parts I had on hand .
https://s3.amazonaws.com/uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/132277/img_0151596d067837.png

Then I went for a baby blue one in 85 then built the 84 one up with a repaint in black and new look.

Here’s one of my old riding buddies with his Invasion Tour .
