I've been wondering this for years, but does anyone have the first Trick Star forks? From what I remember, the fork standers were a u cage that resembled the standers on the rear tri. I imagine they bent easily and that is why they went with the peg style.

Yes. I thought that the ones in the magazine BITD were welded more on the outside of the forkleg than these though. But that was also 30+ years ago, so I could be remembering incorrectly.
