1987 General Hustler Pro

This was my childhood bike, I've had it for 32 years!

My Dad surprised me with this bike in 1987. His friends son was sponsored by General and he bought the bike from him. When they brought the bike to the house the son did a bunch of tricks for me and my friends! I rode the bike for the next six years until i got my license. My Dad took the bike apart and put it in a box in his garage.
Fast forward to July 2019, a buddy of mine owns a bike shop and told me he would put the bike back together. I called up my Dad and went and got the frame and all of the parts that were in the box. I dropped it off and said take your time and leave it as original as possible. About two months later I went back and saw the finished product, I was blown away! I took it for a spin and felt like I was 10 years old again, it was such a good feeling of nostalgia. I will keep this bike forever, it is displayed in my basement and I look at it everyday. I will list what was done and what is original on it.

Great story.  Awesome that you still have and enjoy a childhood bike.  Your friend did a terrific job restoring it for you.
