True. I did a little research and your setup is not the very first one. It is the very first version that I saw when they first came out in my area, Ventura, CA, though. Check out 23MAG for what is probably the first: http://www.23mag.com/com/parts/rotors.htm

This is my 1985 (Japan made). Its a local find. I am not going to restore it. I went through all bearings, brakes, etc. It rides geat!!
