Re: SE addiction ?

Yeah, the guy that has a Jonny Chopper made "str-1" who tried to pass it off as a genuine one at a show, and it took 1st prize rolllol
Has some nice bikes though.

Think I'm just about there with the parts but not really  happy with the crank I've got so that's the sticking point

I guess I missed this thread.

I have never been a fan boy of SE, but I currently own four until I pack up my Big Ripper that I am trading with another member.  I will say the 26" cruisers I own are my two favorite go to bikes after swapping out the garbage stock brakes, grips, pedals, sprockets, and cranks.  I did swap out the bars on my OM Flyer, but that was for personal taste.  Would I like to upgrade a few more parts?  I sure would, but the rest of the things are as needed upgrades like the tires, maybe the wheel sets one day done the road.  I could have enjoyed riding any of the SE bikes right out of the box, but I don't like having a bike just like everyone else.  SE makes a decent starter bike if you want a cruiser.  Upgrade as you can and you can have a good looking fun bike.  I'm sure SE would hate me as a spokesperson, but I am just telling my opinion.  If you can get one at a decent price, I would tell you to go for it, but I would also say that out of the three I bought over the last eight years, I only paid retail on the Big Ripper.  The other two were closeouts from Planet BMX, Brown and tan Floval Flyer and the aqua Freestyle Quadangle.  I won one in a raffle and picked up one in trade, those two are my favorites to ride, Block's Flyer and 2007 OM Flyer.

I keep buying and selling, so I guess I wasn't happy with the four I had left.
