THanks bro..a few guys I talked to locally have raved about them..we'll see once I get the slack ring and spacer(I have a WTB ad here)..I can't really complain about the Naniki/Profile mini Sun set up I've had for like 5 years..Keeping up maintenance on the coaster and tightening the spokes from time to time really helped in the long run..Looks like it's time to sell the old set.Let me look around in my shop sometime this week. I'm pretty sure I still have a 60degree slack ring that came in mine before I switched it out, and I think you might be able to take the spring out of your Nankai and run it on the cassette sleeve. I'll try and find the slack ring and pull apart one of my nankai's to see if I can get it to work.
Damm..thanks again brotha!!I think all who ride freecoasters should take a week off and ride a cassette just to appreciate what we have today.
I've tried to hop 180 on a cassette wheel fairly recently. Not happening! It was fun for my buddy who was watching me try.

SYM-HUB.
From UK. Did it work good? How was it different from other hubs?
Someone have a link for it?
I know its already been discussed in here, but a search doesn't give exact page.

Re: Freecoaster fans!!!
Hey coffin2death, thanks for posting the above images.
The 'isolator drive'. What is it? Was it really better than other systems?
Years ago I read about GSport using a one way/clutch bearing in a rear hub, is it just that?

Johnny Rochester? Nice!
I think I was trying to get him to build me a frame back in the late 90's. I had some of those decals (the ones around the hubs) on my old Zippo.

Yep! Back in 1998. Still have the emails from him. Here's the mock-up he was working on for my custom frame att. Deal fell through, but I still have the correspondence.

Doubt you will. JR seems to have vanished online. I searched a few years back when I was curious about what happened to him. But if you do find something, keep us informed.

Re: Freecoaster fans!!!
I am new to freecoasters... bought a new Cult freecoaster wheel for the Kink Sxtn custom I just built up. Few rides on it. LOVE the silent riding and when I stop pedaling and back pedal a bit to ensure the mechanism is disengaged, the bike just glides for a super long time with no drag. Now to try and do some tricks

Re: Freecoaster fans!!!
Does anybody know what Freecoaster this is and have an idea of the date?, it’s got lines on it reminiscent of some Nankai’s I’ve seen, but I’m not sure?

Re: Freecoaster fans!!!
With this FreeNight coaster, if I already have a freecoaster, why would I want this new one? What does it really do that the current crop of coaster don't?

It's just a new design is all... Not a khe clone and not a z-coaster/Ezra style. Supposedly it has "almost" unlimited slack rolling back but engages like a cassette rolling forward.
