Who knows? Might have to install my uber rare Smut 1 seat on it. Likely though leave it stock. I'm stoked, realized after thinking I haven't bought a new complete bike since 2002. Everything has been used or new but built up in pieces.

Um, that there... is; a kick ass sentence.

I must find a way to drop that one myself.

Re: The Kink appreciation thread

Ha! I thought you'd all be impressed with that one. Well, for $750 ($650 local shop pricing for me) it's a great ride, just what I was looking for as I've never tried a free coaster before.

Re: The Kink appreciation thread

Well a freecoaster is modeled after a coaster brake and a freewheel but is not a  replica.    Hmmm...that didn't quite have the same effect.  Too soon...I'll get it....

I ran one for a while to try it out. It's just kind of one of those things that is great for certain things (fakies) and OK for others.

Looks like a killer bike- if you ever decide you have to have a frame with tensioners....I like your frame  big_smile

Quite possible now that you come to mention it. The Revision B was more or less introduced at the same time as the Phantom Lord so the I would say that it's quite likely. Good spot!!

Thanks man. I'm aiming to have it finished up by the 1st weekend in August with the exception of the Seat Tube decal, which I'm still waiting to get made up.

Thanks for that but I'm locked and loaded on that 4004 colour. I'm 99% sure it's right. Leroy Rochester hooked me up with pictures of his NOS Phantom Lord.

Yeah. Nate Hanson was on Kink for about 6 months, give or take. One batch of frames I'm guessing. Maybe 100 max?

Getting everything gathered together. Going to be a mix of Kink, Cult, and Odyssey. With Demolition Momentum tires... Wow, those are light!

Re: The Kink appreciation thread

Got Williams frame from the man above- Thanks Jeff (brettweir89) !  !

Built it up and my son claimed it-   Well he hinted a lot on how cool it was and how much he liked it,  so I gave it to him.  tongue

Shout out to Kink also-  ordered a brake mount kit off their website- got it in 2 days and they threw in a bunch of stickers  cool

Re: The Kink appreciation thread

I got the Kink Sxtn finished and out for a few rides so far. Best riding bike I've ever had, no doubt. Built it with Cult and Odyssey along with Demolition momentum tires.
