Got a little itchy on the trigger today and picked up an unbuilt Stranger Things Mongoose today!  Scored the only one in my area, but it took some effort finding out the item number!  https://s3.amazonaws.com/uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/33402/20190620_1936395d0c446bc2.jpg

Been basically working everyday, weekends not all day type of busy, but everyday it's been nuts.  Since Feb 1st until this week, I've had only one day breaks from inspections weekly for damage from this winter into spring etc.

Sorry my friend, it was a last minute thang....plus I rarely drink anymore, just blow trees, better for the anxiety. Knob creek 100 is not bad though, pretty tame for that high.

Some of the funniest shit I've read on here in a while though...... "Goose is loose MF" is how I read your reply in my head....

Harp, I want to tell you something. I was in this bureau when you were still popping zits on your funny face and jerking off with the lingerie section of the Sears catalog....

Prices for these started at £1200 here in the UK.

They then dropped to £899 but still crazy. I mean don't get me wrong it's a gorgeous bike but yeah...

So I've slowly started watching prices drop. Today they hit an all time low of £589. Still a lot of bread. Any way, I had a windfall and had £430 so for a laugh I figured I'd phone the shop and offer that for one. I was fully expecting them to tell me to chuff off, and she put me on hold for ages so I figured she was thinking of a way to tell me to chuff off, or was hoping I'd hang up.

She eventually returned, and said "I've just changed the price to £430 on the 21", please call me back as soon as you've ordered it so I can put it back to £589"

Whoah dude. I don't think I've ever pressed alt F5 and checked out so fast in my life.

My initial thought was "buy it as an investment. Wait until they're all gone, then wait for someone looking for one then sell it as NOS, never opening it"

But you guys know what I'm like. I'm already thinking "f**k that build it and ride it"

lol

Yeah I would go so far as calling it a score tbh. Real nice bikes I saw one at the lbs last year when getting my wheel built.

Thx.  I'm already using the 14"x14"x14" one for my desktop rig right now.  Figured I could make the small one into a media PC or something in the future.

Traded for this today. It was nice to meet another member and both walk away happy with the trade.
Something I didn't notice, but Walker informed me about, this is easy to convert to a multispeed. Already has cable guides and came with a chain tensioner with a derailleur mount.

I keep buying and selling, so I guess I wasn't happy with the four I had left.

cool OM. I missed both of you today, but finally got to meet Doug. Just wish I would have gotten there before the shower came through.

You can't put a price on peace of mind.

It doesn't hold the same allure it once did, but it's the thought that counts.

Snoopy's?  Missed it to swing by and meet Walker.  Just hoping they have another show later this year. Smoopy/Andrew and the gang always host good shows and swap meets.
