+1 the gusset has rust holes in it???? yikes  What about the rest of the tubes??

This must be a carpet queen build, I sure as heck wouldn't ride it!

It’s actually pretty solid and I’m building it as a rider I’ll go out on it with my boys check out the recent update it’s now in bare metal (blasted no other holes in it had some pitting underneath pics including of them too

These frames are super beefy and strong so that little bit of repair wont be any big deal.  I'd ride it hard and wouldn't worry.  I like your build cool

Re: Torker 2 rusty old wreck build thread

I would love to find a destroyed frame set like that to just leave alone and build up with fresh parts.

You are doing a great job saving it this way aswell!

Go down to your local creek or canal with a hook and rope,  I'm sure you can drag one out.

OP-nice work on the frame restoration

You can...no need to wish! Get a cheap welder watch some youtube videos on how to weld and start practicing...smile

+1 actually pretty easy, invest in a cheap set up practice a little bit

Bit of an update on miss piggy we have the rust in the gusset done but I’ll do s bit more of a tidy up on it before it gets powder coated. I’m quite surprised at how solid the frame is as it’s now been blasted and in bare metal there is some pitting I need to weld up on the chain guide that I missed check out the pics I’m really enjoying bringing this back from the dead as everyone had written it of as roached  cheers scotty http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-image … 763b6.jpeg

I COMMEND YOUI BRO!
You saved what some people would of considered a through away, and that's so incredibly cool!
YOU HAVE MY RESPECT! YOU ARE AN HONORABLE DUDE for looking past the issues and seeing into the future.
I'm the same exact way..if there's a possibility, even ever so slightly to save a car, bike, truck, ect..I feel it's important to do it to save the historical side of it.
GOOD ON YA BROTHER!!!
SPREAD THE WORD.
Cant wait to see the finished, "saved and reborn" version.
Fantastic work!

Heres my profound, life changing statement.
Lifes a bitch..PASS ME A BEER.

They're reacting and that's wonderful. It's better than them sitting there doing nothing. I say make them react - do whatever's in your power to move the audience, and if that's where it is, and there where it is with America, sex and violence, then I say project it.
