Re: Talk Dyno to me!

This bike could use a 3PC crank.

And I noticed the dropouts, the 97 Slammer has small dropouts, the 98 has pacman drops, as does the 99 detour. Meaning this is a compe or air. Then I looked at your "my bikes", thank you for owning what it is.

I did the same to a Dyno Zone it was a 2001 with the horrible font (post 1998 dyno decals sucked) and I got 97 Air decal set on it.

Collection Complete. If you want to see my actual bikes http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=633623. I stopped adding to MY BIKES because of hassle of uploading

HuffyRider87 claims I'm a 'seathole' because he low-balled me on a bike, claiming its worth nothing and 'just a Huffy' and I told his ass whats up. Just a Huffy you wanted, and dont have. LOL.

Re: Talk Dyno to me!

Hi Dyno Lovers

I'm building a black 1989 dyno detour
which has lost parts and I would like you to support me with two questions

1 chain: originally what brand was it (KMC?) And how many links should it be?

2. Pedals, originally with what brand were sold?

Thanks for your help and being ready I share photos

Re: Talk Dyno to me!

Detours always had mags, pretzels, and drainpipes.  Compes had spokes, straight posts, and no pretzels.  Once you get into the 90’s the detours has slightly better brakes also.  Frame and forks I believe to be the same. Compes have cheaper stem / spinner combos.  Compes were set up for a smaller rider with the seatpost stem bar combos and the cheaper price tag.  Here are some literature pics from 88 & 89.
