Re: What's for dinner?

Got a old favorite I haven’t cooked in ages. Thai Coconut Shrimp with Pasta. Got tired of going to this Thai Chain back when I lived in the Twin Cities called Big Bowl so I mastered there recipe. They also have Fresh Ginger Ale made to order that is slamming as hell with this dish. Gotta get around to that one some day.

Lots going on with this dish flavor wise, Coconut Milk, Tumeric, Lime Juice, Jalapeños, Cilantro, Crushed Red Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Fresh Basil, Dry Ginger,Fresh Garlic, Honey, Shrimp, Bell Pepper, Red Onion, Linguni Pasta. Got some heat but not uncomfortable or overbearing.

More BBQ action tonight. Ribs (Low and Slow for 4 hours at 225 degrees....if your peeking your cheating...keep that lid closed between mops) Cajun rubbed Pork Tenderloin, Johnsonville Brats, Baked Loaded Spuds, Lemon Pepper Butter Broccoli, Mustard Potato Salad with Crispy Bacon and Hard Boiled Eggs. These ribs just came right off the bone just right. http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/248463/a3a2fa37-413b-4777-a556-10684eb8a36f5cf71f24db.jpeg

Re: What's for dinner?

Tonight I made an all beef chilli.

It is stew beef, ground beef, a beer, water, chilli powder, cummin, paprika, garlic, onion, red pepper, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, dark chocolate, a dash of honey....damn...what else?

Looks and sounds good to me, wouldn’t add anything else if it’s a all beef chili your going for kinda like a Coney Island Chili Dog. Dig the cast iron pot as well!

I personally like bell peppers, celery, onions, black beans, chili beans, kidney beans in my chili. There no right or wrong way to make chili not unless you live in Texas. They have a rule down there...no beans at all. Real serious business when it comes to chili in the Lone Star State.

I usually load it up with green, red, and yellow bell peppers and red kidney beans, but not this time. I wanted to just make a meat chili.

Nice, love a good sandwich. That's a lot of salt on the fries though, but it tastes as good as F**K. Where's the ketchup?
