1982 Challenger Racing 5 Bar Cruiser 24

Bought this off a local FB page and brung it back to life. All parts just cleaned, nothing restored.

Spoke with the owner/manufacturer/welder via FB. Quite an interesting character.

Asked him to join the site to provide some more background so hopefully he will chime in.

Here is a snippet of our conversation:

Bike is all stripped down and ready for a vinegar bath:

Re: 1982 Challenger Racing 5 Bar Cruiser 24

Bath day
Didn’t have a tub big enough so threw this together out of scraps and a heavy duty bag.

Soaking in plain vinegar

Re: 1982 Challenger Racing 5 Bar Cruiser 24

Went with red grips instead.
Won’t be doing anything else to it but bomb around on it as I really like it and them big GT bars, they are awesome.

So all original finish and parts from when it was built in 82 aside from the tires and grips.
