1987 Haro Team Sport

1987 Haro Team Sport catalog-correct 10+ year Swan Song Sport Rebuild

1987 Haro Team Sport Rebuild/Restore/Survivor"Swan Song Sport" My final build, hence the name Swan Song Sport. A build 10+ years in the making. More $ than I care to admit, countless hours pilfering the web collecting products as I could find them. This was the second Bike I purchased as a kid. Bought brand new with money from my 85 Haro Master that some D-bag stole off our porch one night. This bad -boy was $550 from Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin Schwinn Shop. This was a bad ass bike for flatland. Even better than the 85 Haro Master I had built from mail ordered parts. Of course the parts weren't apple to apples by any means either. IT was the best bike out of all the bikes in our pack withthe esception of a frined who was sponsored by Schwinn with the sickest Redline RL-22 on EARTH, so not exactly apple to apples either. The Team Sport rivaled the Trickstar, GT PWT, Dyno Compe, Redline RL-20a and most others. I was able to pull almost every trick on this bike! Walk around and Twirling Orgasm have eluded me to this day!
This build started as a 1987 Sport that needed a lot of TLC. As many parts that could be salvaged, were. Somehow during the storage process, although all parts were individually saran wrapped after polishing and stored together, the left arm of the front Dia-Compe 883 Nippon arm is missing. OCD in overdrive.... You have a 87 bottom feed front 883.. PLEASE lmk, tia. The frame drop-out chevrons were not stamped very deeply from the factory. In order to preserve the indention after re-chrome, we re-created a stamp and made the factory stamps more defined so they were still clearly visible after the re-chrome. The rest of it was straight forward typical clean, polish, powder, chrome sticker, assemble, viola! 3650+ days and it's almost ready...damn front brake.....enjoy and thanks for looking.
