1988 Redline RL-20II

My best friends rider as a kid

This bike came to me when I recently re-opened a friendship with my childhood best friend. We both rode these, I parted mine out to needy kids as I moved through mid school and new school eras, he kept his. When we reconnected he gave it to me. I ride it every day!  I wouldn't change it, paint it or anything. It's a legit time capsule to my childhood.

When he gave it to me he reminded me that the Power Series cranks, DX pedals, and stickered sprocket were mine back in the day, and I gave them to him. They came home almost 30 years later and make me smile every time I put my feet on them.

I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness............-Emo Philips

Re: 1988 Redline RL-20II

This bike is perfect.

Question, though... Why run the Tech7's upside-down?

It's easier to lock the lever by thumb.

The hinge clamp cable stop mod is rad!

Awesome rider the way we used to do it. I like all BMX bikes but the riders are my favorites.

Poor boy stickers are too legit to quit. Wish I had some. Sweet ride with AWESOME RETRO COLORS! Even more shred-gnar that it has survived this long and has parts that were yours as a kid. Always stay young at heart and you will never grow old cool
