Unscared is dropping a deuce in a public restroom, and not even flinching when some weirdo peeks over the stall.

This evening’s progress.

Looks incredible. Those Powerbend bars with no top tube and a red mini tuf neck would be sweet!

Bill, I'm mad at you for not beating Charlie up when he was in SD.  Would've done him some good.

Re: Finally!! A Powerlite Thread!! I've Been Waiting For One.

I think this P19 is one sexy beast. Best looking one I’ve seen and had no marking on the drops.
I present my mostly NOS Built 1997 Powerlite P19.
Used parts are literally just to show it off. To see what it could look like, I’ve got 2 possible contenders unless I pull the other 3 out. Who knows until we start the build off! In it to win it. lol If winning didn’t matter, then why keep score? Much love from the East Coast Customs.

Best regards
Matty

Re: Finally!! A Powerlite Thread!! I've Been Waiting For One.

Somebody converted that headset to 1-1/8" threadless.  I had a 97 for a couple years and it had a 1" threaded headset with a quill stem.  All the catalogs and everything else I've seen shows the P19 with a 1" threaded setup in 97.  They changed the frame style in 98, which means this style P19 frame only ever came with 1" threaded.

The forks are 95, but I’m quite curious as to why you’re dating parts? I must have forgot to write something or wrote something out wrong cause I wasn’t asking for dates.

I just wanted to know what that little thing was and if someone did know, I wanted to know if it’s better than a star nut? I’ve got the “year correct parts” but they’re not shiny yet. Been slacking in the buffing depart, me buffing wheel finally burnt out. lol

Is there even a star nut in the fork?  No wonder the bolt just fell out.

Not supposed to be a star nut with this setup actually.

Compression bolt?  Probably the wrong size.

Re: Finally!! A Powerlite Thread!! I've Been Waiting For One.

Thank you El Gecko for trying to help out Rider. This BMX shit makes people get a little too excited.

And Rider I think you owe El Gecko an apology for thinking he's trying to knock your choice of parts but he's absolutely correct about that setup being incorrect for that frame.

You need a 1" Threaded Fork with a 1" Stem with a quill. You're probably not even going to be able to find headset bearings that will fit your setup so you need to step back and listen to people who know.

Now back to the regular scheduled BMX drama.....

Damn...I have come to figure shit like this only happens after sun set or a full moon...wait!!! It will be a FULL MOON tonight. Don't believe me you'll see tonight if it's not cloudy. "Snow Moon" as it is called...will be the brightest super moon of the year...pretty cool stuff.

Re: Finally!! A Powerlite Thread!! I've Been Waiting For One.

Can some someone show me or direct me towards the right direction of how to set a compression ring? Never seen one, nor have I ever used one?

May I install a 1 1/8 on my 98 COQpit?

Why did all the other BS get deleted but the BS above still remains?

I have a '99 fork that is available...slightly cut the drops but really good condition. Let me know...
