Cool build, glad to see you’re taking some risks and making it unique.

I say strip the stem and polish it,regardless of who says what. The purists are a funny bunch.

Re: pepto biS&Mal dirtbike build

I don't think there is a point to stripping the stem. For one, it may actually work. Maybe some black treads, black grips.... Even still, if the black is that hard to find and someone is wanting to trade and cover shipping costs then you are just making work for yourself and making someone else's hobby that much more difficult.

So far, I kinda like the black. Too much shiny makes my eyes tired, I like to throw some seasoning in.

Wetsand with 800 and then 1200, then polish 3 or 4 times. Should be like a mirror then. big_smile

No sandpaper at all touched the stem. You can still see the factory cnc markings

Good because I like that. It shows the engineering behind it cool

Also - please continue pissing people off. There's nothing I enjoy more than doing that whenever I build a bike lol

Hot I like it cool
Nice to see something different

I have a pair of S&M Prince Albert crank arms I had machined to take 1/2" pedals, they came out nice.

Nice build,  is the paint pink pink, on my screen it looks like the color of skin, which is pretty damn cool.
