Re: The official Auburn Thread!

Thank you! I did NOT buy this one from Twin City BMX...I purchased the frame from a member here and built it up. It's kind of a grail build for myself, as I always wanted one BITD but couldn't afford it.

That's cool bro! I miss my '96...probably the best handling rig I've ever owned. Glad you got your grail...really dig it! wink

Anyone ever seen bolts like this . They are on my 89 Auburn. Frame and tailstock are not threaded. Guessing that this is an early frame. But I have an 88 and it's threaded . Just wanted to share this and see if anyone else has seen this .

Well I guess I'm simple . I figured it out . Those are called binding bolts . My 88 must not really have a 88 front half . I didn't know the difference but do now . Sorry if I had asked a dumb question. But if anyone else was curious I thought I would put it out there.

My contribution to the Auburn thread, I can’t take credit for the build though. I bought the bike off a good friend and he built it. (I added the Flite pad set) The first time I saw the bike at his house I knew I needed one and planted the “if you ever wanna sell it seed” and it worked.

Now it’s a constant search for anodized purple parts and an Auburn sticker set.

Excellent rig!!! Had that exact year and looking for another one. One of the best riding rigs I ever had...miss that bike tremendously.

Unfortunately I do not have it anymore. Sold the Frame and Pro Forx to a buddy of mine in '98. I kept all the other stuff as I still have today on other builds after a 20 year hiatus away from the hobby.
