Too bad I'm not building a raw bike. The welds and the tubing marks are pretty cool looking. Now gonna take it to work and 220 sandblast it and put a temporary coat of spray paint till I fix my bars and get it powder coated

Used citrus strip. It didnt work so well in the tight spots along the welds. Gotta get the strong stuff now lol

Got the 16" f/f cleared. Time to let it sit and cure, then in a few days time will buff it out.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

That's fantastic !!

I had another wreck at the end of September so haven't ridden much since. The weather turned to freezing shortly after the injury so I decided to play it safe. Last bike I built was the Haro, but am now full steam ahead on the Standard. I've got 90% of the parts here already and have now ordered the rest. Some lovely mid school goodness big_smile

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

I am working on converting a 2004 Redline Monocog into a BMX style bike.   I also just purchased a 1984 Predator Team 24 Frame and Fork.  I started looking at parts to build it up and quickly realized why I usually don't buy old school F/F.  The day after I purchased the 84  a 1983 Predator Team 24 complete came up for sale with almost all original parts.  I ended up buying it thinking I would take the parts off the 83 and build the 84.   Now I am debating whether I  prefer the 83 or 84 style frame.  First world problems!

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

Yes, with exception of the splatter colors, yet everything was enamel based. Buffed the clear out using car wax, which seemed to harden the clearcoat. About a week out and seems to be very durable.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?

Working on this 81 king sting. Cantilever mounts were added to this frame very early in its life. So I had S&m make some pitch forks with v brake mounts so I can have matching brakes, front and back. I have a 1&1/8 conversion headset from Chatty Matty.http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/239931/10ec781f-ca13-47de-bfe4-bf4518ee4aac5c26b1d2b8.jpeg
