Re: New steel bikes?

Looks like some sites are listing specs and colors. Black and chrome obvious options, but yellow? No raw with clear coat option? Non standard 28.6mm seatpost?
(Going off mail order site details). No thanks so far...

Re: New steel bikes?

I believe the 28.6 post was a typo.  Yellow is Challenger style yellow from what I've seen also.

Re: New steel bikes?

Any more news? Haven't seen or heard any more. Killing me not to see an actual painted frame and some release date!

Re: New steel bikes?

Seatpost was a typo. It uses a traditional 27.2 post and 30.0mm clamp like the speedwagon had.

Back to the original subject of this thread.

No one mentioned Gary Turner or Boss are doing steel frames.  Plus I think Gary might be doing Brackens frames too.

Do you have a link? I'll certainly add to post #3 in this thread where I am keeping track of what I knew and input I've gotten from people. Thanks for the heads up!

I edited post #3 to include Boss. I also added web links to each of the ones I knew of or have been made aware of. Hopefully will be useful!

Re: New steel bikes?

If anyone is interested (and you should be IMHO) Supercross still has 14 total left across the colors/sizes of the sx450 frames...

https://www.supercrossbmx.com/collectio … 4115754008

I just picked up a red XL, to go with the raw XXL and blue XXXL and 1 of 3 prototypes I have of this frame. The XL is going to be my actual rider.

Brett,
Welcome to the sight and awesome build. That's some classic 80's chrome and black. Shout out to the Bontrager line pro pedals, those are a hidden gem people don't give enough credit for. big/thin/grippy/spin great.

Thanks! Ever since I got back into bmx few years ago and started racing, I’ve been wanting to build a simple chrome race bike like I wanted as a kid. I’m in Hawaii for work since October and powers Bike shop back home in VA sourced all the parts and built the wheels, then shipped it out to me.

Nice!  If I didn't already have so many frames ...

Re: New steel bikes?

Hell of a first post!

That is one sweet chromed out USA made with USA parts of a bike!

Love those Profile Elite chrome cranks on the Panther.  Got em on my Race Inc, great race cranks.

So what age group/class are you racing in?

And you gotta get this bike posted in the Museum so we can "Favorite" it, plus it will get a lot more exposure with plenty of "Comments."

Welcome to the BMX Museum.

I’m 39 and a novice so what ever other age groups they stick me with. I’ve done about 5 races so far and 5 wins. In no rush to get to intermediate haha.
