Re: OZBMX............Closing Down

I have given away more OS parts than I have sold.I enjoy seeing the parts on bikes that belong to the people who will use them on their builds, that to me is worth more than the money.Especially when they get excited about telling me what bike it will be going on.

That is the whole point of this hobby,to help others out,and in return you get help back when in need.I recently found a lower half of a Redline brute stem hidden away in the garage for decades.A local I know has the top cap,he has been looking to complete the stem for a bike he has for years, well guess what? Merry effing Christmas my man, just have it! I can easily sell it on here for decent coin if I wanted to.

So true

Allan, they care more about showing off and bragging vs the actual OS secne and fun aspect of it.

That’s right Neil .

Allan some people just don't get it,these chequebook collectors think this hobby is one big dick measuring contest and they will do whatever it takes to win, even if it means destroying something for others to enjoy. My local scene has experienced this first hand. These types need to GTFO!!!!

Re: OZBMX............Closing Down

Yeah, I agree. Even if it came back now, people have moved on.
If anyone was ever thinking of starting a new Aussie site, they would be better off with a new name as OZBMX has had too many ups and downs over the years.
Personally, I've completely lost interst. My background of racing in the late 70s/early 80s was revived talking and sharing info from back then. All gone now - what a waste of time that was.

I managed to get contact numbers of fellow ozbmx members that I knew I would see again (Newy Crew and others) before the place was shut down.

Re: OZBMX............Closing Down

G'Day All , I left the scene due to the demise of OZ it was getting to much, that has been around 4 years now and im looking to get back into it. smile So im sort of glad not in a Fu*k Yea sort of way, but more of a Fresh change may come sort of way to the closure of OZ and hopefully something new will come out of it.
In the mean time G'Day all im going to start hanging out here at the museum for awhile and see how thing roll.
