Redline Freestyle Forklifter Bars

Can someone school me on why first generation freestyle forklifter bars are so much more desirable than forklifter race bars? The only thing I can think of is there are less of them to be had but since I'm mainly interested in collecting 70s and early 80s race bikes I have no idea, thanks.

Re: Redline Freestyle Forklifter Bars

They're basically just harder to find than the race version. Here's mine...you can see how the crossbar dips down in the center, compared to Dirty's, which are straight across (race version).

Re: Redline Freestyle Forklifter Bars

Freestyle bars are tough to find and when they do come up, get that leach off yer' wallet. Cuz they are gonna cost you. tongue

You can never have enough of em'.

The freestyle versions are a bit shorter with more sweep that the race bars.

Re: Redline Freestyle Forklifter Bars

Also, on the tabs, i notice that the letters are different. Some look machine engraved. Some look hand etched. Ive seen one with the letters upside down. Some no tabs. I think its best to reach out to an old Redline employee to get the truth. The number plate looks different on both bars. I do prefer the freestyle bars and plate. The plate dips more on the top.
