I think everyone is a winner in these build offs. cool We may not always agree with the outcomes. And may have to blow off a steam, but that shouldn't be taken the wrong way. As all of us have a voice. Many members are all to much perfectionist. You know what I mean. I am guilty of that myself. tongue  However it should not separate us. We are a BMX family and should be proud of each other, win or not. wink
What I learned from this build off is that getting out there and having a blast is what it is all about. Sharing time with friends and loved ones. Arclite showed us that in one of his pics. Thanks for that. It actually reminded me of earlier this year. My son and I were riding in town and came to a crossing. There was an older lady there. She looked us, smiled, and said " Boy don't you look like the perfect little family". That made us feel good. Both of us smiling riding down the road. Doesn't get any better than that. big_smile
Once again congrats to the winners in all the classes, and everyone who put all the hard work into these builds, even if you didn't make the completed entries. smile

Here's a pic from that day.

Re: THE OFFICIAL BMXMUSEUM CALENDAR BUILD OFF IS BACK FOR 2019!!!!

I was waited for somebody to say something about my seat post clamp for a couple months.

It was installed wrong back when the original owner had it. The key hole is in the front, as some of you know. I tried to remove it but it was stuck on pretty good and I did not have anything to spread the clamp and I didn't want to take a chance of damaging the paint while trying to remove it by maybe slipping and messing up the paint by the seat mast plate or something.  I guess I should try to remove it at one point.  Like a fool I lightly greased the bottom of the seat post & when I put it back in I thought I tightened the clamp up pretty good but the seat can be moved side to side when I try to really move it.....also because I knew it is on wrong I carefully tightened the clamp while worried I could crack the seat tube key hole.

Here is another Trick Master survivor that was found by corollagts that had the seat post clamp on wrong as well....

Ah yes, my Blammo is the same way.  People think I have the clamp on backwards. lol

My 86 CW California Freestyle is the same way. I had it lined with the slit and keep getting told it was backwards so put like yours. I had it both ways and get told either way. lol

Re: THE OFFICIAL BMXMUSEUM CALENDAR BUILD OFF IS BACK FOR 2019!!!!

lol  ^  That is to funny.  I usually see people say something to someone that has a bike with the key hole in the front like ours and when the clamp is on normally they tell them it is wrong.  I've been told it can crack the key hole/seat mast.
Honestly when I got back into BMX I didn't even know what a key hole was and saw a bike with the seat post clamp backwards I thought it looked weird and it was funny they put it on wrong.

Re: THE OFFICIAL BMXMUSEUM CALENDAR BUILD OFF IS BACK FOR 2019!!!!

-v- Stock example with seat post clamp mounted correctly.  Although they mounted the front mag wrong like I did also.  Last week I took my front tire off and put the front mag on the correct way. See how the valve stem on the rear mag is just behind the spoke, on the front it is in front of the spoke. The Skyway OE logo on the mag should be on the non-drive side.  The mags are on correctly in SE 's Ad "Four Aces"

Now you have me wondering what is the hole for?  I assume this hole will not allow the slit to open up any further?  Also “right” or “wrong” seatpost clamp orientation - I don’t think I can handle any other way that bolt to the rear.  But then again I’m freaking NUtz!  bTW- did I ever tell you how much I love that rick master?

Yeah that's what it for. Just like a crack in metal you drill a hole at the end of it to keep it from getting worse.
