Re: 1979 SE Racing P.K. Ripper

That's what I meant in the first place: since it is a rare top tube PK, give it the '79 factory look it needs. There's plenty of later PK's out there you could use that orange color scheme on. So what are you going for? Tan, baby blue, candy blue?

I agree, the problem i face is i have 2 baby blue ,2 candy blue,2 candy red and my balls arent big enough to paint a bike TAN or poohbear brown.
I think i will paint her candy RED and sell my RA7 survivour in anno red,I could always Chrome the tound top. That would set the cat amongst the pidgeons....To be honest my best friend has an orange PK which he built first and it is beautiful, mine is only orange because the former owner painted it that way...
Stay tuned

Hey Rerun, just wondering, do you think this could be a '78 with the round top tube. Just looking at the first few bikes on these pages...

Re: 1979 SE Racing P.K. Ripper

1978 models are called a JU6 and although they have a round top tube they do not have any support gusset at the front.
Like PKs the 1979 Rount top tube has a support gusset at the front.
I wish i had a 78 JU6.
Hope this info helps.
Thanks for looking at my fluro beast.lol

I love it but I don’t understand the original description?  How is it fake and the seller refunded the money?  Because of the round top tube?  Sorry I’m missing something. Either way, it’s a sweet SE!

yes..The Frame is NOT a genuine ROUND TOP PK...It started life as a Standard PK and it was chopped up and a round tube was inserted.
