Re: gt power series stickers

gt power series cranks did not come original with stickers, so there is no such thing as "original" stickers.... they were painted on.  If you want the stickers go to ajkbikes.com.  Otherwise there is a member on this site called "UltraHive" who sells the stencil so you can paint them on to be more original.

Re: gt power series stickers

Floofy is right. The originals were screenprinted on. I would recommend you go with the stencils UltrHive sells here and paint them yourself. I did that and they look MUCH better than the decals. Plus, the stencils that UltrHive makes are almost EXACT to the original screened logos. He also offers die-cut decals as well so you don't get all the clear vinyl aroud the logos. If you don't want to deal with painting, I would recommend you buy the die-cuts from him and just apply them as you would a decal. They'll look just like my painted ones below. The decals from AJK are off a bit and they look tacky IMO. Here are some pics for you to compare the overall look between the two.

Painted on using UltrHive's stencils:

You can see the clear part of the decal on the crank arms and the glare from the light as well. Just doesn't look original at all.

You decide which way to go with yours.

Re: gt power series stickers

I believe original power series cranks came with a sticker to act as a replacemen when (not if) the screened logos wore off...

The left crank arm on mine is starting to wear off a bit. I'll just have to re-paint it again. I didn't know they came with a replacement decal for them back then. Good info.

Re: gt power series stickers

Try getting the die-cut dcals form UltrHive. They might actually hold up better than the painted ones and they look just like they were painted on.

Re: gt power series stickers

I know the thread is old but I got a question..
What paint do you use to paint the letters with the stencil?? Any particular paint type to hold on the alum arms??

Thanks!! cool
