Brake levers

Just had it out and it cruises real nice

Re: Vintage mountain bikes.Whos gottem??

I've actually done that before and spent lots of time figuring out why my index shifting wasn't working.
Good thing I was on shop time   lol and not my own time. Felt like a doof after spending all that time figuring it out.

Now THAT's RAD!!  Congrats to the big man!
I picked up something yesterday that I'm pretty stoked about.  USA made Marin Quake 9.0, monocoque style frame.  All OG as far as I can tell. White industries front hub and cranks etc....

Re: Vintage mountain bikes.Whos gottem??

I found a 2000 limited 19” frame still in the box for sale a few hours away from me in Dallas. But I don’t know if I am really looking forward to piecing together another bike. Hoping to find a complete. Seems like every time I buy a USA made Schwinn frame I’m dropping way too much in the parts for it.

100% 4130 True Temper Cr-Mo tubing, hand welded in Waterloo, Wisconsin.  It would be pretty damn hard to NOT love this bike.

Myself (1987 Trek Antelope 800, 1986 Elance 310), my son(1983 Ross Force 1), and my daughter are all now rolling on vintage steel. The wife had a 1987 Mongoose Hilltopper but never really liked how she felt riding it. She's on a new modern Trek 7.1 hybrid.

Correction -- I guess that's NOT the year my son has because his was made in Taiwan.  Very nice!

The only non-original parts are the tires. Everything else is stock and in really good shape.

Oooooo yeah — the USA version.  The way they anodized those and the ZXs is awesome.  Very nice bike!
