Send them to me.  They are worth very little, even the high end brands so now days I buy em and put them away to save em from such a fate.  I do love them, Im too old to enjoy riding one, but I think they're killer.

...and yes, parting out a scooter is a waste of time as you're looking for that over-the-rainbow guy who builds scooters and there are hardly any.  The only thing from scooters that bring good money are original and usable skin wall freestyle tires since they do not reproduce them.

that and the SR / DYNO spin tech gyro stem combos found. on some model scooters. oh an some of the brakes and leavers used on them. still bring good cash.

Here is my 1986 Christmas present.  Added new brakes, tires and tubes.  The Lee Chi brakes always sucked.  Nippons work well! 87 Schwinn Yo!http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/33402/20171110_2323235a4be4cfcd.jpg

Re: Let's start a SCOOTER thread!

WHILE SHOPPING FOR MINE I SAW THE RANDOR COMBO MID 1980'S FREESTYLE/ SCOOTER WITH TRUCK & SKATE WHEELS ON BACK, AND WAS INTRIGUED BY IT. ONLY ONE OF ITS STYLE IVE EVER SEEN. EVEN HAD THE PLASTIC TAILGUARD & I THINK IVE SEEN A SCOOTER APPEARING TO BE MOUNTED WITH REGULAR PLASTIC SKATEBOARD RAILS (POSSIBLY CUSTOM, FOR PROTECTION & PREVENT SCRATCHING). I WOULD THINK THE SKATE WHEELS WOULD MAKE ALOT OF NOISE ON PAVEMENT, ESP. MOVING AT HIGHER SPEEDS THAN A BOARD. OWN A RANDOR-TURBO STYLE 1987 IN AQUA WITH ORIG. PLASTIC WHEEL DISCS COVERS (ONLY APPEARED ON HUFFY SIGMA, KENT & FEW OTHER BIKES). I LIKE IT BECAUSE DESIGN IS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO MY 1ST BIKE- 1990 MAGNA-TURBO 20 IN CHROME (NEVER FOUND A COPY ON COMPUTER, IVE SEEN A FEW RUBY RED/WHITE RANDOR- TURBOS (1990-91) ON COMPUTER- VERY COOL LOOKING. IF ITS NOT IN THIS MUSEUM, YOU KNOW ITS RARE). RECENTLY PURCHASED A 1986 KENT SUPER SCOOTER IN HOT PINK (CONSIDERING A VERY NICE GRAPE PURPLE VARIFLEX STRATA 1987 SCOOTER (FAMILIAR WITH BRAND NAME AS OWNED 3 VARIFLEX SKATEBOARDS BACK IN SCHOOL YEARS).  I GREW UP IN 1980'S WITH BMX & SKATEBOARDS, NEVER HAD BUT ALWAYS WANTED ONE OF THESE. I LIKE THE EXTRA TALL BARS I AM 6'2". I NOTICE, UNLIKE BMX BIKES, MOST SCOOTERS SEEM TO HAVE EXTRA LONG TALL BARS (LIKE CW STYLE/ HUFFY ST POWER SYSTEM STYLE FROM SAME ERA (MAGNA & RANDOR ALWAYS USED THEIR OWN CLONES OF THE ORIGINAL POWER SYSTEM BARS, SOME SCOOTER EVEN COME WITH HUFFY FREESTYLE TYPE 45 ANGLED STEM WITH LONG TUBE FOR INCHES MORE EXTRA RISE), BUT THESE ARE ABOUT HIGHEST RISE BARS IVE SEEN. SO I MAKE THIS WEB SEARCH TRYING TO LEARN MORE ABOUT MY SCOOTER & OTHERS. NEVER OWNED OR LEARNED TO RIDE ONE. ALL I KNOW IS ITS COMBINATION SKATEBOARD DECK MOUNTED ON FRAME YOU PUSH WITH HANDLES FOR BETTER CONTROL. SURE I COULD STILL RIDE MY REGULAR 3RD VARIFLEX W/ CLEAR GREEN WHEELS WHICH I STILL HAVE, BUT IM 42 TOO OLD TO RISK SKATEBOARDING ANYMORE, COULD EASILY BREAK A KNEE. ETC. NO YOUTUBE VIDEOS OF PPL ACTUALLY RIDING REAL SCOOTERS OF THIS TYPE IM STUDYING IN PICS HERE, SO ONE COULD WATCH & LEARN BASICS FOR REGULAR RIDING. ALL I GET WHEN SEARCH 'SCOOTER' ON COMP. IS SO- CALLED SLIMLINE SCOOTERS (COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN BMX/FREESTYLE TYPE SCOOTERS ) OR MINI MOTOR SCOOTERS. APPEARS I FINALLY HIT THE BIG TIME FOR SCOOTER INFORMATION IN FINDING THIS WEBSITE, THIS SECTION ALONE WILL KEEP ME READING FOR DAYS.
