Got three 2016 Masters together yesterday. The consensus is that the frame is everything we wanted, even if they took a bit too long to arrive and some had problems on delivery with head tube shape.

Re: Haro MASTER Prototype !!!

I had mine painted then I put on some new Haro decals. Last piece to add will be 2017 Haro forks with the flip-down standers.

Re: Haro MASTER Prototype !!!

Wow guys I am stoked! Haro has a 19" Flatland Master out now. They previously only came out with 19.5's. I may have to grab one now. Only problem is their only making 50 and in red only I think.

All that complaining from me about the top tube length was in vain I guess. I shoulda just waited to see if they'd cut more off the top. Haro, If your reading I wanna say thank you!!!!

Re: Haro MASTER Prototype !!!

What I'd really like is a Flat Master with a 20" top tube and an even shorter rear end. Then it would be my main #1 bike and not just my #2 flat bike that I can also ride for ramps. The MacNeils that I have been riding since 2011 are 20" top tubes with 13" rear ends.
So you can now get a Flat Master in 19" and 19.5", and the regular Master in 20.5", 20.75", and 21". John B. even made one for Flip at Albes in 20.25". The regulars' rear ends are a bit too long at 13.75", for me.
Not complaining - the Flat Master is pretty close to what I'd ideally ride. It will do just fine. I actually asked Solid bikes to make me a 19.5" double-top-tubed chrome frame around 2005 - so I got my dream frame for 2005 but 11 years late.

(I think)

That's great, but still not enough to sway me from my beloved FLATT.  Haro really has done a "180" on themselves in the past 5 years.  I remember looking at their lineup in 2012 for my first "welcome back to BMX" bike I was going to build, and thinking "WTF is this disgusting crap, and where are the cool bikes"?

I hear ya. My Subrosa aint going no where even if I grab one. I am trying to learn Backwards Decades and its a little scrunched for room on a 19. I figured I could maybe use an extra 1/2 of space up top. But, 19.5 will make most of my other tricks more difficult. At 5'9 a regular Decade is a chore for me on anything over 19.

I may buy a 19.5 Master afterall that way I will have a 19(Subrosa) and a 19.5 Master. However, the 19 Red Master is still tempting. I think it will still be more spacious because the head tube and seat tube angle are less.

Patrick said they are about 4 weeks from delivery so that gives me time to decide.

I think Haro deserves a lot of credit for revisiting all these old frames and parts that are in the old spirit. They definately are doing more for retro Bmx than any other brand. But, I still think they should give us more options on frames concerning colorways and sizes.

Re: Haro MASTER Prototype !!!

The problem with OS is the 15" CS made decades on even a19" a pain.  NS with 13" CS is way mo betta.

I've ridden your frame, actually, at Woodward.
You are going to need to do something about your lower detangler cable setup. And the upper could be much shorter, and on the other side of the crossbar. Looks good, though. I like the red stickers.

I know. I am working on all that right now. That was just thrown together quickly to ride it and see how it feels. I didnt have all the correct brake cable and hardware at the time.

Re: Haro MASTER Prototype !!!

This Photobucket thing needs to be fixed here on the Museum. There should be a better quicker way for us to post photos on here with out having to use Photobucket. Should be just as quick and easy for us to upload like we do on Facebook or something.

My guess is the Museum is partnered with Photobucket or something and it has to do with the Advertisements?

no, it's nothing to do with the museum at all. photobucket changed their business model and stopped allowing free hotlinking. old photo links are broken unless the original owner changes to a paid account for some insane yearly fee

Ok thanks for the info. But still, there should be a more simple way for us to upload photos here with out having to go thru Photobucket. Why can't we just upload with out having to use some other site?

Nope...pay the $20 buxs for the year for a Pro Membership and you can load pics from your phone or PC with the bar at the bottom of your message that says “Select images to upload”
