At least in the very first BMX Action test it says that the complete came with Xcaliber seat post clamp. But I don't want to complete with you in expertise, Brian. In any case, the Xcaliber fits the Mauler perfectly.

Wow, did it really? I honestly didnt think SE even offered completes on the PK until 82. I just know that I scored three all original PK bikes from one owners family a few years ago. A candy red, a white and a ball burnished and all three were purchased complete and had all SR components. There is also a BMXAction test somewhere that shows this but as you know, anything is possible and yes the Xcal goes perfectly with the Mauler. I use them on all my SE and RI builds!!

Here is the link to the 1980 Quadangle test in BMXA with an Xcaliber seat post clamp.

Was down at BXC today drooling on some “Top Shelf - Special Reserve” and popped this off.
Complete BXC there in the background and a Patterson peeking out as well. ZeroNine. Titan.

so close, yet so far away. wink  LOL

Is this the "one" that sat in the front room of the store forever?  Or is that STR-1 frame different than this one?

I think this is the one that sat out front for years.  Not sure on the STR-1 can't say I've ever seen it.

I can't wait to see the handlebar selection.  These can make or break a vintage cruiser build.

NICE set ups.  I'm torn.  I love the pure aspect of the OPC's on the Mauler.  BUT I CANNOT DENY!  Some single pinch full wraps take everything up a BIG notch.

Single Pinch Full Wraps are the "Craiger's" of BMX.  You can put them on ANYTHING and they always make it look great.  Let alone the PR240.  Stoked to see the final products.

We will post up final build pics for voting purposes tomorrow night on a Facebook thread.
But we will also be doing Facebook live sessions so you can see the bikes up close and personal in a bit more detail via video.

Sure was an intense meeting this afternoon.  Had to pull the Patterson and Mauler apart a couple times during the press conference.

Re: S.E. Vs Patterson - WOSBMX CRUISERWEIGHT SHOWDOWN

Cruiserweight Build-Off Parts Update:  Who needs a "brake" from this week?  Gold Dia Compe goes with the Mauler and the blue Dia Compe goes with the Patterson.  Both have matching Tech 3 levers.  Gold set up is dated 82 and blue is dated 83.
