1983 GT Pro

This build is a copy of the last bike that I ever raced. I retired in 1982 and tried a comeback in 1983. In the summer of 1983 I stopped by my local bike shop that sponsored me a few times during my racing career. The owner asked me if I wanted to race again and offered me his bike. So I entered a ABA double points race in the 17 year old Expert Class. Didn't even make the main so I packed up the bike back in my car and drove home. I never raced again. Months later the bike owner picked up his bike.
Here is the part breakdown...

Re: 1983 GT Pro

Super cool. I had an almost identical set up including the graphites back in 84-85 . I remember my Mom getting really mad at me for my bike costing more than her old car . I was only 14 and built it up by horse trades and paper route money. I traded the frame for a black KZ-1 one afternoon one afternoon at the skate park.
