2009 Mongoose Mode 270

Homemade Trials Bike!

I'm not sure about the year on this one but looking at the serial number 2009 would make sense, let me know if you think otherwise. A friend of mine got it from his cousin, used it a few times before I swapped with him for a Mongoose pro frame, anyway, I fancied building a trials bike and always thought the frame was pretty light so decided that would be a good enough start. Only the frame and forks are original, the rest of it was replaced with higher quality or lighter parts. Another friend of mine done the bash guard which came out great and didn't add too much weight, ended up about 12 kg (26 lbs) so a little more then i'd of liked but it feels really light to me. Could of got a second hand trials bike cheap enough but where would the fun be in that! Thanks for looking.

That bash guard is awesome!


I can't believe the way people mistreat bikes. It also amazes me how many people don't have any bikes and never ride them - poor miserable souls.
