Stranger Things

New scary TV series kinda similar to Goonies, has 4 kids on bmx as main characters.
http://empireonline.media/jpg/50/0/0/640/480/aspectfit/0/0/0/0/0/0/c/features/57869a31823490d062667985/netflix%20stranger%20things%20poster.jpg
Seems 2 of the bikes have banana seats, and 2 are regular bmx.

Pretty sure one is a sub rosa, as it is black and white..
Here is another.. http://i.onionstatic.com/avclub/5822/74/original/640.jpg
any help?

Re: Stranger Things

Great series!,  supposed to be early 80's but I suspected a few bikes were more 90's.

Re: Stranger Things

My wife and I watched the whole series this weekend. I immediately pointed out how bummed out I was that at least two of the bikes were way out of the era. Was distracting for me since they have soooo much screen time. Would not have been hard to use correct bikes in the show. They take care to get the vehicles, clothes, packaging, music (mostly) accurate.

Re: Stranger Things

New Netflix series is all about kids, bikes, mystery, thriller, horror, 80's vibe and a cool soundtrack. If you liked ET, The Goonies, as well as The Twilight Zone and X Files, you'll dig it. And there are a lot of bike scenes too.......

Re: Stranger Things

Gonna sit with my daughters and watch it, I will try to avoid eye contact with the incorrect bikes....but when setting a series or film in a particular time zone, surely it is only the things you use from that time zone that make it as such, odd to let the bikes slip through the net.

Re: Stranger Things

Watched first two episodes last night, we enjoyed them, bikes suck a little but doesn't detract from what is a decent watch.

Re: Stranger Things

Owen at Bike Farm in Austin said one time he had someone come in and ask for and buy era-correct bikes for a movie.
