Re: 80's/90's Haro? Unsure..

Somebody will know exactly what that is.  I'm not one of the experts around here but I would guess early 80's Haro Freestyler.  That could be a sweet project.

it looks to me like you have got yourself the bargain of the century, can you let me know the serial number on the back dropout, looks to me like you have got yourself a gen1 original haro freestyler

Judging by the rear dropouts and if that fork is original, that could be a Gen 1.  Awesome score for sure.

Re: 80's/90's Haro? Unsure..

it looks as if it has shimano sx pedals on it aswell,
send me the serial number & ill tell you if its a gen1 freestyler, if it is get it cleaned up, sell the frame & forks clean for about $750 - $1000, wheelset cleaned up is about $150 - $200, pedals are about $20, mx seatclamp about $25, clean the haro bars, powder coat them, worth $40 - $50, gt seat $10....rest is junk....
NICE SCORE

Re: 80's/90's Haro? Unsure..

hmmm   deffinately  an old 80's haro master... twin top tube.. and the gyro looks to be from the stone age.... it actually looks bigger than a rotor...  and i agree that these parts cleaned up or restored are worth big bucks...

Re: 80's/90's Haro? Unsure..

That rotor on this bike is the newest part on it i think. I'm pretty sure it was made by fishbone and called the ufo or something like that in the mid nineties. Same performance as the gyro without any sharp edges to tear your legs up on was the selling point.

Re: 80's/90's Haro? Unsure..

when looking at the seattube closely there isnt any signs of splitting....

i took the seat post out and the post wasnt seized but was is in a fair old distance!

i can get some better pics of that area if any one can confirm for me either way..

will get the Serial Number when i get home (visiting the in-laws tonight!) and opst it up tomorrow when i get into work..  (got to work saturday! sad)

out of interest, would anyone be interested in taking this bike (whole or in pieces) and using it as it should be used?  ( i wouldent ask mega money as that would be unfair and i would rather it go to a good home and i will just buy myself a cheaper newer BMX... im willing to ship it to the USA aswell....

Cheers

Its not a genuine Haro. It looks like one of the copies that were around in the mid 1980's.

Re: 80's/90's Haro? Unsure..

Hi guys,
you can see within 1 second that this is no real Haro Freestyler. You don't even need no serial number.
The down-tubes are always running succintly to the bottom of the bottom-bracket tube. Please excuse my technical BMX-English... Here are some pics how it should be on a  83' Haro Freestyler.
Anyway - for this price - you got a cool bike ;-)
