WTF! I almost tossed them out with the bikes box. Although yellow and white probably has limited appeal.

Actually they are pretty sweet! Gotta have the right bike for them but they don't come up often in that combo as far as I know.

Re: OAKLEY"S why all the hype

my first real grip was oakley 3. they were the cool grip on the block and have several pairs. fond memories.
the some round oakley something or others. they did not hold up to well, and ended up with am'e tri grips, the best imo. and still loving them. ended up with a few sets of the re-issue b1b's just sold my last set. for what i got them for back in the re-release day:lol: its a matter of taste.

Re: OAKLEY"S why all the hype

Seriously would love to sit down with most of the guys that feel that the grip you used finished the bike. It's almost like if the bike didn't have them it wasn't rideable. lol Sillyness, shit like this killed comics and baseball cards. Honestly, I see and understand the reasoning, but, at what point is everyone   else on you're level?

For me, Oakley B2's and Ame Cam grips are the best I have ever used since I was a kid till now.

Re: OAKLEY"S why all the hype

am I the only oakley 3 fan? I always thought they felt great and looked mean. I also like the fact that they are cheaper than the other oakleys , cuz they are less sought after.

Re: OAKLEY"S why all the hype

Growing up and working in a bike shop during the 80's I had gone thru the whole Oakley lineup -goggles/grips/Blades/Frog-skins/apparel/etc.. Nice stuff but Oakley got a bit arrogant with distribution BITD and I went A' ME. A'ME delivered a more reasonable price structure, distribution and what I felt was better grip with no product arrogance.  There were also question marks about optical quality of the Oakley eyewear but that is another discussion. I have not considered Oakley's as choice since the early 90's.... But to each his/her own.
