1999 Torker TR 5.7 24

The frame was NOS which I got for $75 at the 2000 NBL grands. Supposedly given to a "pro" who wanted something different. He said "No way" when he saw it. His loss, my gain!

The rest of the parts are as follows-
Torker stem, cranks, chainwheel & pads
Skyway 24" retro sealed bearing mags in yellow
Retro BMX lighting bolt seat
TNT clamp
Wellgo pedals
Knight industries "CW" cruiser bars
Big cheese star grips
Alliant forks
Redline tensioners
Izumi old school yellow chain
Everything yellow I powder coated myself (except pedals), the cranks I powder coated with a clear so the torker logos wouldn't rub off. I'm always looking for any late 90's torker stuff so PM me if have something to sell.

Now this is WICKED nice Btpd22. I always like the look of these and my next build will be a 24" and by the way nice tnt clamp anything less on a race bike would be uncivilized.

TNT, I agree the TNT clamp is a classic design like the ol' tuf neck ones from the 80's. Thanks for the props. I actually just bought another 24" frame last week. :) I also just order new 24" yellow tuffs for this one :D

Chris - This is one sweet bike! Now that I have the old wheels off of this baby, I have to say that I do prefer the tuffs on it. It looked great with the spoked rims, but top notch with the mags. Excellent Job!

BTW, I finally finished my quad cruiser and posted it in the museum. Let me know what you think.

Re: 1999 Torker TR 5.7 24

Thanks. I did buy a cheap set of yellow rims with black spokes & hubs as a swap out set if the tuffs get to be too much or for a change of pace but for how much I use the bike that'll be a long time before I get bored. I have another 24 torker those wheels might end up on instead.

Re: 1999 Torker TR 5.7 24

Thank you both. I'm in the middle of a re-do of the 20" yellow one with more mid-school parts such as THE triple forks, drive sprocket, and a complete fresh powder coating.

Re: 1999 Torker TR 5.7 24

I do like the aluminum frame torkers -but never cared for the chromoly.

I have a pair of low rise Torker 4 piece cruiser handlebars -if you are still looking.

Re: 1999 Torker TR 5.7 24

The aluminum ones are really nice, some were made by SE racing. I've owned both and to be honest the welding on both are excellent and I don't see a difference. I have a pr of bars on hand already but thanks for checking. I need decal sets, seats, grips, hubs or wheels.

My bars still have the torker grips -no end caps though.  They are that gumwall color.

Did your frame come black with yellow decal?  I have never seen one that wasn't OG Yellow or raw.

Re: 1999 Torker TR 5.7 24

They also came in black too if they were Taiwan made. The US / SE made frames seem to only be made in the yellow. The decals also have some green in them as well for 99 but the later ones are just yellow / black or white / black.
