Subbed.  It's not a Vagabond, but I'm down for seeing what you do with it.  :)

Re: 1996 Torker TFX

P.S.
Lack of cantilever bosses & a threaded HT lead me to believe this is actually a TFX.

It appears to be a 96 vagabond, but no canti mounts on it? And the forks are teardrop shaped that looks like skyway forks. But doesnt look like any TFX in the museum

Re: 1996 Torker TFX

Threaded fork is a dead giveaway.  Vagabonds/Kickbacks had threadless forks.  They also had u-brakes, not cantilever brakes.  Can't help you with the forks, folks don't seem to use or own stockers when they build (I'm not using stockers on mine).

If you want to do a 1 1/8" conversion and want era-correct, shoot me a PM.

I've seen only 1 or 2 TFX's with the curved DTT's on here--probably because they were so low-end in the Torker lineup for ~1996 (I can only surmise, as there's very little information available).  The TFX sister was the 280x, also with threaded fork:

p.s.
here's one of the places i pulled my information from:
http://www.bikepedia.com/quickbike/Bike … &model=TFX

http://1mg.me/?w=500&h=500&filename=Torker%20TFX.jpg&f=Photos

You can see the TFX decal, caliper brakes front & rear, and the quill stem.
