1999 Dyno Slammer
1999 Dyno Slammer
Sweetest Dyno frame design ever!
Always wanted this frame, in chrome.
As I understand, this is a TEAM ISSUE; the only way to get THIS USA slammer frame in chrome... The standard 99s were redrum and 00s were yellow
Got the frame from Trilogy, the old forks off my GT show from Rich-in MO.
Pics covering v1 and 2.0 rebuild.
If you find a shinier dyno, please let me know so I can take the corrective action!

Re: 1999 Dyno Slammer
Bump
This poor guy has had no favs or comments.
This is one cool bike!
Can't wait for spring, this babys gonna get rode!
Take special note of the "DYNO" under the clear Dyno lip grips!
I had I think a '95 Air that had this on it, and it was one of the little touches I really liked to look at on it, then I found a set of these NOS grips at my LBS, and had some stickers

Pacman Dropouts for the win! WACAWACAWACAWACAWACAWACAWACAWACA I just sold my 98 Dyno Slammer. That bike had so much coolness to it.
Back into Freestyle after a decade! (pun intended!)

Re: 1999 Dyno Slammer
Hey is this for sale?
lol just kidding. Still a sick bike though. I remember these new in the bike shops, I used to drool over them routinely. I was a major GT/Dyno fanboy when I was younger. I love this frame design but I do wish it had a full standing platform like the older traditional platform frames had. I get that this is better for scuffing, but I like the style of the older platforms better. If I could get the previous year Slammer or Pro Freestyle with Pac Man drop outs I'd be in heaven.

Re: 1999 Dyno Slammer
The previous year's slammer had the same standing platform, the downtube and rear triangle are what's different on these. You gotta get clear back to like '96- for the platform that wraps around the seat tube. Once you do that, you lose the pacman dropouts! (NOT WORTH IT! I've never bent a 3/8" axle with pacman drops and the correct pegs) I also prefer the 990 on the upper part of the triangle.
That being said, I like the look of the old style platform better, but have found these to be just as functional to me, and the rest of the bike is sicker!
ROCK SOLID, they way they should be!

I used to ride my kuwahara down the street like that.
I can still do this on the dyno half platform

Yeah my best friend growing up could do it on a round top tube with no platform at all. I'm too big/top heavy for that kind of balance lol.

Added new pic of how it's looking.
